MA-4000RC Series Infrared Remote Control Speakers
Poly-Planar's innovative Infrared Remote Control Speakers let you control the volume, the source - even the power - of your PolyPlanar audio center by pointing a waterproof, floating handheld remote control directly at the speaker. Control the sound from the cockpit or another cabin while your audio center remains protected below deck. Available in three sizes, they are ideal replacement speakers for boaters who want to upgrade to waterproof speakers without changing the cutout size. The integral grills allow for simple, one-piece installation. Ultra-low magnetic field speakers eliminates the problem of speakers magnets affecting navigation equipment such as compasses and autopilots. Like all Poly-Planar® speakers, these speakers featured a rugged waterproof design, teflon-coated wires, plastic grills, polypropylene cones, mylar tweeters and plastic frames, to provide years of trouble-free service. They combine a midrange polycarbonate cone with a 1" mylar tweeter for full range frequency response and handle 80 watts of peak power per pair. The optional waterproof remote (MRR-2) features a convenient lanyard and floats if dropped overboard.
